As a former Forensic Psychologist with the U.S.
Department of Justice, Dr. Peter Schulz has a passion for seeking the truth and supporting it with verifiable facts.
Having graduated with a doctorate in psychology (Psy.D.) from Wheaton College, Dr. Schulz has devoted his
professional expertise toward the field of forensics. Throughout his 20+ years of
training and professional experience, Dr. Schulz has evaluated and treated thousands of clients with mental health issues.
It is with this same dedication and experience that he founded Triangle Forensic Psychologists and continues to provide
high quality assessments to the legal, medical, and insurance communities. Some of Dr. Schulz' credentials include: ~ Testified in federal and state courts across the country as an expert witness on mental health issues. ~ Performed numerous Independent Psychological Evaluations (IPE/IME) for Workers Compensation and personal injury cases. ~
Conducted evaluations for spinal cord stimulator and organ transplant candidates. ~ Completed disability evaluations for Social Security. ~ Conducted pre-employment and fitness for duty evaluations with dozens of police departments and sheriff's offices in North Carolina. ~ Completed psychosexual evaluations for the Federal Bureau of Prisons' Sex Offender Management Program. ~ Conducted forensic evaluations nationwide for hundreds of attorneys through various U.S. Attorney's Offices and Federal Defender's Offices. ~ Participated in Risk Assessment panels for violent inmates with mental illnesses. ~ Worked collaboratively on forensic cases with numerous federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. ~ Certified Hostage Negotiator. ~ Honor Graduate from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. ~ Former member of the Federal Bureau of Prisons' Crisis Support Team. ~ Supervised doctoral psychology interns on their forensic rotation at an APA-accredited internship (Federal Medical Center - Devens, MA). ~ Taught classes and seminars on psychopathology and forensics. ~ Member of American Psychological Association. ~ Member of American Psychology-Law Society. ~ Member of American Pain Society.
